Random Friday:: A picture post

Hey all! Its been a buuuuusy week so I thought I'd show you some recent cell phone pics for little bits of what's been going on lately.

 Here's some sweet basil I've been trying to grow from seed & its pretty much stayed at this state & grown only on one side :-/ I give up. It sure is cute to look at though!

Here are some plants that are thriving. These are the lovely purple iris' growing outside our front steps. I just love their lavender & deep violet colors.

Here's a shot of me one Sunday before church. I'm trying to get better about getting more pics of myself & not just hiding behind the camera all the time.

Some more beautiful flowers from our yard! I'm very much enjoying having all these amazing flowers in the house this year!
Beautiful orange lilies.

I took this a few nights ago while I was on the couch crocheting. I looked over to our side table & just giggled at the fact that everywhere you turn in our house you can find a WIP (aka: Work in progress) on some surface in the house. Here's a cotton skein of yarn with my bamboo hook & the start of a dishcloth. I'll finish it one day...maybe.

This has also been the season for LOTS & LOTS of fresh mint in our backyard. I can't get enough of it. I've been harvesting large bunches almost every week & dry it to use for tea. I hope to get enough to save up & use during the winter months too & maybe even gift some to friends & family for the holidays.

 And lastly here's a new loopy flower I made for an accessory for the shop. I'm still tweaking the pattern to my liking but I like how simple & fun this one came out, I'm thinking of attaching it to a hat or headband.

Well that's all for now folks, I hope to get some more projects & listings up by this time next week so be sure to check back & see what else is new!

What have you been up to lately?

My basil is stuck at the same point. I'm trying to remember if it stayed that way a while last year before growing more, but I can't remember. I just remember the squirrels digging it all up last year, so I'm trying it inside this year.
I enjoy all your photos and inspirations.
