This poor thing was just begging to be made over....
I gave it a good cleaning with a wet rag & let it dry completely before spraying it.
I had in my stash this Krylon paint in a lovely medium olive shade & it worked like magic.
I was a little worried as to how the paint would adhere to terracotta but I think it turned out great!
I only sprayed enough for the paint to cover around the top rim of the pot but not down where the dirt would be inside. I filled it with some Boston ivy clippings I had rooting in some water & voila!
Instant face lift! I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. I put it up on the mantle next to a pretty blue plate I had but it seemed like it needed a wee bit more height somewhere.
I didn't want to move my pillar candle stands for fear that it would be too much green on one side & the mini nativity set I keep out all year long kept getting the ivy leaves all over it.
I tried a few different vases & such & nothing seemed to work so I grabbed this jute covered skinny vase I had with some fake flowers in it & called it a day. Not perfect but it'll do for now...
What spray paint makeovers have you worked on lately?
